Der deutsche Schriftsteller Ulrich Schaffer sagte einmal: „Überlege, was Dich aufblühen lässt. Dem gehe nach“. Diese simple Wahrheit trägt seit langem einen großen Teil zu meiner Zufriedenheit bei. Das zu entdecken, was man wirklich gerne macht und sich darauf zu konzentrieren, ist ein wichtiges Lebensrezept. Denn was man gerne macht, macht man gut. Viel zu leicht verschwenden wir unsere Energie mit Dingen, die nicht unseren Talenten und Fähigkeiten und vor allem unseren Wünschen entsprechen. John Maxwell, ein amerikanischer Autor und weltweit renommierter Sprecher sagt immer: „Stärke deine Stärken“. Viel zu oft laborieren wir an unseren Schwächen herum, investieren viel Zeit, um in Bereichen besser zu werden, die uns weder liegen, noch zum Aufblühen bringen. Wenn ich entdecke, was ich gut kann und gerne tue und darauf meinen Fokus lege, werde ich schneller Erfolg und auch noch Spaß dabei haben.
Als Jugendlicher war es meine größte Sorge, mein Leben lang in einem Job gefangen zu sein, den ich nicht machen will. Gerade weil ich das einige Zeit tun musste, stieg das Verlangen in mir, aus dieser Tretmühle auszubrechen. Mit 18 Jahren packte ich meine Koffer, sagte meiner Mutter, dass ich noch auf ein Bier gehe und machte mich mit einer Bekannten auf den Weg in den Süden. Vor meinen Augen die Vorstellung von einem freien Leben auf der Südseite von Kreta, was angeblich ein Paradies für Aussteiger war. Diese Reise verlief leider ganz anders als geplant und ich kam nie an der Südseite an. Dafür aber nach einem Monat wieder nach Hause. Der Traum von der großen Freiheit war geplatzt. Gott sei Dank, und das meine ich im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes, fand ich nach einigen Jahren doch zu den Dingen, die mich aufblühen ließen. Interessanter Weise erfuhr ich meine Selbstfindung, wer ich wirklich bin, was mich als Mensch ausmacht, in einer persönlichen Beziehung zu Jesus Christus. Ich fand zum Glauben an ihn und dadurch auch mich. Ich begann zu blühen, legte vieles ab, was nicht zu mir gehörte und entdeckte meine Bestimmung. Und dieser gehe ich auch heute noch nach.

ich freu mich immer sehr, wenn wieder ein neuer Blog da ist, und du deine Gedanken teilst. Das ist ein sehr wertvoller Teil für mich, danke dafür.
Hm. Ich bin zu einem großen Teil auch schon aus der Tretmühle rausgetreten und hab auch schon manches abgelegt. Vieles ist noch zu tun, und ich bin gespannt, was Gott noch so alles vorhat mit mir.
